Modern day story. A girl is on a historical dig because her adoptive father is funding it. She meets the original head of the dig from before the found that there was an entire city hidden there and soon help in the excavations. When she does she find that her blood family history is more than it seems and she gets dropped into the world of the few elves to remain in Earth.
This is the story of a possible untimate and long term ending to middle earth, which is supposed to deal with the elves who did not sail at the end of the third age and what happened to Tolkien's world in general.

Turgon of Gondolin actually had two daughters, the younger of which was born less than a week before the fall of Gondolin. She was sent away to a strange world because she was too young to travel with her sister when the city fell. Now she has been returned and a human friend of hers has been brought along with her. Unfortunately, her return is not all nice and happy, there are politics not to mention romance, fighting and all sorts of other fun things to be delt with...
