Yup. That's it exactly. Thank you, for a perfect and frightening glance at true resolve and true courage in the face of heart-wrenching choice. That was beautifully written and anguishing (in the best possible way).

Very well written. So much insight into Frodo. It shows the change from a carefree Halfling to a man of true courage. Thank you.

Well done! Hard to say it was nicely done, so very dark. I think you captured the essesnce of despair and the steely resolve which, indeed, is the "magic of another kind" found in The Shire. Even in despair you did not leave him without some comfort and very small measure of hope in his purpose to save his homeland and in a sense, die to save his companion from the ring's evil - "greater love hath no man than this: that a man lay down his life for his friend" (okay, Hobbit).
