I'm about to start writing a fic using this plot bunny and was wondering if anyone knew the answers to a few questions:

1) How many daughters did Aragorn and Arwen have? Names?

2) What is the capital of Arnor?

3) Did many Elves remain after the War of the Ring and what would have happened to those who did? Did they all eventually either fade or leave Middle Earth?

Unknown.

Which time period? Technically speaking Arnor fell around 861 Third Age. Capitol: Annúminas

The Silvan elves remained I think, living in Eryn Lasgalen. I am not so familiar with that. Celeborn did remain as well.

The twins (Elrohir/Elladan) remained - postponing their decision about sailing to Aman. They may have remained forever in Imladris and then died like Arwen - it never says. I like to think that they and Celeborn stayed for Arwen and when she died they left.

Yes, both those are half-elves and not elves. So I didn't include them (in case you were wondering). Big Hug

I really want to try this idea. I had an idea similar to this before. Any volenteers to read it for me and tell me if it's trash or not?

Eiranae, take it to the beta forum, I'm sure someone will read it for you. There are many wonderful people on the site who do beta reading...just stay away from mine

J/K, Mine especially are wonderful, and I guess I can share. Shocked

Well, my stories may not be, but my beta's are good liars and make me feel like they are...and really, when it comes to writing, the cold hard truth is highly over-rated, *snort!*

I've been wanting to write something using this for some time now but never seem to even decide where to start. My main character is a descendant of Aragorn's named Eric. It may be a bit extreme but in order to determine what year/age he was born I decided to go all the way back to the fourth age and make this http://altariel.freewebpage.org/Untitled.htm. The first is suppose to be Aragorn's daughter. Her line going all the way to Eric at the end the 6th age. Her line inherits the throne when Eldarion's ends at the end of the fourth age. I included the dates of their rule. I would greatly appreciate if you guys would let me know if you find any errors. (When going back through earlier to check it I had to fix two places where I had someone taking the throne before they were born, lol.) If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will answer them as best I can.

I was wondering if anyone could help me with a couple questions regarding the Pelennor Fields. How big is it, how many miles? If Minas Tirith were to expand out into it what kind of population could it support? I hope that makes sense.

The Rammas Echor (wall surrounding the Pelennor field) is a large, slightly-misshapen semicircle, 30 miles in diameter and from 3 to 12 miles wide.

Not sure how many people could fit in ~200 square miles, especially in non-modern times, but I suspect it would be many 10s or even 100 thousand.... but that's a pretty wild-eyed guess on my part.

However, the Pelennor is covered with small farms, and if you filled it with people, you'd need to find other farmlands to support the populace. Of course, if it is post-Ring War, then Ithilien could be returned to agriculture.

Hope this helps!

Ah, well, in modern times, all bets are off.... With modern technology, agriculture can be far from cities, and cities can be massively built upwards. So, my population guess doesn't seem so wild-eyed after all... you might even be able to pack several millions into such a space, like in Tokyo or London or New York.
