So, hello everyone. Not much to say. Posted the first chapter of me story. I was a bit taken-aback by the Wikific thingie. Is that going to happen with all my chapters?

Happy New Years, everyone!

Hi Selene,

yes from what I understood is that once you mark your story to be edited for all, every chapter that follows has the same thing. You can always ask support at their addy.

Anyway, welcome here! Is this your first fic? Which fandoms have your fancy? Fav character? Reader? Reviewer too or just a writer?

Just sit back and relax, the others will be soon here for a good ol' welcome! Twisted Evil

Hello Hi. I'm just gonna wave from across the room so I don't risk breathing on anyone and spreading the contagion. I'm Neume, Neu for short, Tolkien smut writer and fancier of, well, a bunch of other things. Welcome to OSA and congratulations for posting your first chapter. I think you'll find we're a supportive bunch. Goofy (and sometimes a little scary), but supportive.

Welcome again,
Neume

Hi de ho, Selene, and welcome to OSA. I just glanced at your fic and will take a real stab at it later (sorry about the knife puns - I've been writing about fighting Confused ). Eomer and Lothiriel, hunh ... I'm looking forward to it. There are some very good writers on OSA who love the Rohirrim, so you're in good company. Did you make it Wikific? You brave thing!

I see it's a WIP, so I guess you'll be busy for a while but, if you ever need inspiration, check out the challenges section or the Bunny Nursery section of the forum. There was also a thread for a while where we discussed Rohirrim plot bunnies (nasty teeth!) ... now where did we put that?

Well ... enjoy and if you read, please rate and review so we poor slaves to our muses feel encouraged.

Cheers,

NB

Thank you Rhapsody, trekqueen, Neu, and NancyBrooke for your warm welcome! I was pleased to be so welcomed into this lovely place. As for your questions, yes, this is my first fic. I'm nervous about it's acceptance here because you are all such terrific writers. My favourite character is either Eomer, Boromir or the Witch King. Heheh.

I'm not sure just yet about my favourite story. I've loved the ones I've read so far. I hope to be an avid reviewer, because I love getting reviews on my own work.

I like to write about romance (though I'm just getting my feet wet with it) and, being an equestrienne myself, I love writing about horses.

I would love input on my story, and in general. Honestly, I've been so impressed with the quality of writing on this site that I have made it my duty to update a chapter every day. Very Happy

Thanks again everyone. You are too kind.

~ Selene

I dunno how to edit my post above this, so do read that as well... But by the way (I forgot), this is a picture of my horse, Traveler. I love him to bitsies. Sorry... I love to show him off because he's such a cutie. Don't mind me.

Traveler was also the name of ... Robert E. Lee's horse?

Yes'm. Obviously this horse isn't a proud grey stallion, as Mr. Lee's horse was. But This Traveler's show name is BluesTraveler. Soo.... Hehe. I'm impressed though. You know your horses. Razz

Hmmm your Traveller reminded me of the KWPN horses (Dutch warmblood horses) I used to train with. But it's such a sweety. Smile

Over-fences or otherwise? I used to ride a Dutch Warmblood freshly retired from the Dressage circuit. Goodness, that horse could work!

I take it then that you are an equestrienne? What is your discipline?

Dressage and free style... many many years ago. KWPN'ers are reowned for their work ethics and are such a delight to work with Very Happy Although Friesians are fun too.

I greatly admire you, then. I have never put my hand (or any other appendage, for that matter) to Dressage. I'm a Jumper, but I've always been impressed with the level of discipline and sheer beauty of Dressage. We (Traveler and I) use the occasion Dressage technique in training, and just dabbling in that... you must have such strict form and whatnot. No doubt you are an extremely accomplished horse-person.

Fresians are quite fun. I exercised an old Fresian once and their strides are so... soothing. It's like riding in a car. You don't feel the bumps at all!
