Has anyone here besides me watched the movie Cloverfield?
If so what did you think of it?
Personally I think is one of the most original and refreshing giant monster movie of this century (we are in the 21sth century and not the 20th century anymore, remember?) and the fact that is from the point of view of a group of witnesses with a camcorder does add a sense of realism that is truly out there! Very Happy

Haven't seen it yet but have seen the trailer a couple of times on the big screen. Must admit it caught my attention but I'm not sure I could watch two hours of shaking around cameras a la Blair Witch... tell me it gets better. Smile

do.

Rented it. Slept through it. Not once, but twice. I would put it up there with Ace Ventura's sequel.

I did that with Constantine! Once I thought because I was *really* exhausted. But after the second time I realized it must have just been a boring movie after all. Need Coffee

How strange! I loved Constantine. Saw it at the cinema and loved it - even if at the time I had a lot of misgivings about KR's casting.

As for Cloverfield, we went to see it at the cinema and I think that for me it was the only way to go. On a TV set I'd fall asleep too. It wasn't bad. Different. And the jerky camera (as I mentioned in a previous post) wasn't too hard to put up with. My main thing about it was that it was all geared up for teenagers. And well... I guess it made me feel past my best before date. Evil or Very Mad

do.

I enjoyed it. And it was refreshing to see a monster movie like that. I waited until it was available on dvd though...seeing as no one didn't want to go see it with me. lol.

I enjoyed it too. And you're not past your "Best Before Date".
