That's right, you heard me, the Weekly OSA Drabble Challenges are Back! The Drabbler is in the house! eh, you get the idea ...

I will once again be posting drabble challenges weekly, and our first one is up and ready to go:

OSA Drabble Challenge #121:
By The Pricking Of My Thumbs ...

For the next two weeks, in keeping with the eerie season and in recognition of more things to come from Yours Truly, your challenge is to raise some gooseflesh, tickle the hair at the back of your neck, and get on your baaaad feelings to drabble about Portents, Omens, Goosebumps and other Signs of Impending Doom.

Fic may be 100, 200, or 300 words. Deadline will be in two weeks on Monday, November 2, 2009.

A new drabble challenge will be posted every week, and you'll have two weeks to complete the challenge. To contribute a drabble challenge idea, visit the OSA Drabble Challenges thread in the Bunny Nursery of the Forum. Any problems or questions? Contact the challenge admins.

It sounds like fun... This might be a dumb question, but I'm a newbie, so bear with me... Is there a special section where to post the drabble? Thanks!

Thanks for the opportunity to restate how this works, Meg.

To participate in any challenge:

Arrow Select the Archive (e.g. Tolkien or 28 Days) in which you plan to write and click on it.

Arrow scroll to the bottom of the archive page. There you will see a Rubik’s Cube graphic and the title Latest Challenge. Click on the challenge title, and that will take you to the challenge section.

Arrow Find the challenge you are interested in (there will be times when more than one is open), and click on ‘Show Details’.

Arrow Down at the bottom of the challenge description, click on ‘Register for this challenge’ and add your name.

Arrow Go Write.

Arrow When your drabble is complete, enter it as you would any story and, in the challenge dialog box at the bottom of the Add Story screen, choose the appropriately challenge from the drop down box.

Any Questions? Let me now.

Cheers,

Nancy

Green Fairy, Dutch Courage, Aphrodisiac, Poetic Muse: Alcohol Beer . It may just be sugar, water and yeast but it has inspired gods, poets and would-be suitors since time immemorial. Let’s see how it can inspire you to drabbling – not dribbling – about

Alcoholic Inspiration

Fic may be 100, 200, or 300 words. This challenge is available for all archives and closes at midnight 11/29/09.

New drabble challenges are posted every week, and participants have two weeks to complete a challenge. To contribute a drabble challenge idea, visit the OSA Drabble Challenges thread in the Bunny Nursery of the Forum. Any problems or questions? Contact the challenge admins.

And this one, too, Viv!

Announcing OSA Weekly Drabble Challenge #126: Love is the Drug!

For the upcoming challenge I invite you to get addicted and drabble about something bad that feels so good. Let your drug of choice be literal, metaphysical, edible, spiritual … whatever turns you - or your characters - on.

If ___ is the drug, then I don’t want the cure!

Fic may be 100, 200, or 300 words. Deadline will be in two weeks on Monday, December 7, 2009.

A new drabble challenge is posted every week, and participants have two weeks to complete the challenge. To contribute a drabble challenge idea, visit the OSA Drabble Challenges thread in the Bunny Nursery of the Forum. Any problems or questions? Contact the challenge admins.

I came here to tell how it's going to begin. I'm going to hang up this phone, and then show these people what you don't want them to see. I'm going to show them a world without you. A world without rules or controls, borders or boundaries. A world where anything is possible. Where we go from there is a choice I leave to you.

This week, let Neo and Viv inspire your characters to play by the:

Rules

or break every last one of them, except for these:

Drabbles must be 100, 200, or 300 words. Deadline will be in two weeks on Monday, December 14, 2009.

A new drabble challenge is posted every week, and participants have two weeks to complete the challenge. To contribute a drabble challenge idea, visit the OSA Drabble Challenges thread in the Bunny Nursery of the Forum. Any problems or questions? Contact the challenge admins.

"Who said anything about panicking? This is still just the culture shock. You wait till I've settled down into the situation and found my bearings. Then I'll start panicking." - Arthur Dent

Don’t panic … it’s just this week’s drabble challenge:

Cultural Misunderstandings

Drabbles must be 100, 200, or 300 words. Since I was late in posting this one, the deadline will be two weeks from today on WEDNESDAY, December 23, 2009.

A new drabble challenge is posted every week, and participants have two weeks to complete the challenge. To contribute a drabble challenge idea, visit the OSA Drabble Challenges thread in the Bunny Nursery of the Forum. Any problems or questions? Contact the challenge admins.
