- I'm a 48 year old homemaker. I have been a LOTR fan since I was 12 but only this year did I start writing fanfiction. I' m a bit of a hobbit myself and my stories are all hobbit based. I also enjoy doing several different needle and hand crafts, calligraphy, singing and most recently have become an avid foil fencer. I owe my inspiration to go ahead and try fencing to Billy Boyd, and the inspiration to begin posting my fanfiction to shirebound.
