This was a fine short story, Al *claps her hands* The idea of giving Maedhros a sword crafted specifically for him, to use with his left hand, was very touching Smile smiley face I can so imagine the light sparkling in his eyes when he saw the weapon, even though he'd probably never want to admit it Wink smiley face. And I liked how you portrayed family interactions by only briefly mentioning them. What a wonderful gift for your dear friend and a die hard Maedhros' fan. Bravo!

I probably should already have given this a good solid review in public, rather than just my mildly intoxicated gushing after the first time I read it. Wink smiley face I've thought about it a lot, but I never could pin down just who would be able to drag Maedhros out of his post-Thangorodrim funk most effectively. Why I never considered Celebrimbor, I don't know, but having read your depiction of this scene I can definitely see him being the one person sufficiently tough and also emotionally sensitive enough to do the job. Plus add in the sword and, well, how could any good warrior resist?

I love it! Thank you again!
