I haven't been reading fic much at all in the last couple of years, and definitely not writing it. Having kiddos has made me re-evaluate my priorities and let go of several hobbies that I loved. Football, for instance. I watch it maybe once a season now, and I used to know all the permutations for how Miami would clench a playoff berth at any given point.

At any rate, I hear ya. Real life has invaded my happy place.

I went back to university/college/school/hell for the Fall '11-Spring '12 semesters... and Lived. (Barely.) It ended up being over a year before I got any kind of update done on any of my WIPs. I had messages from readers wondering if I was okay/had left the fandom. Sad And ultimately the expense and stress of finishing that fucking BA doesn't seem to have been worth it, so I'm just all manner of pissed about it.

Luckily, I write well when I'm emotional. Smile

Don't feel bad. I'm seriously considering going back to school and getting a new degree. The one of I have pretty useless, apparently.

Either that or I need to find a rich old man willing to take care of me and leave me well off when he kicks the bucket. I don't see that happening...
