Does anyone know if this site is down/gone/moved? I was on it at www.tuckborough.net recently (or at least it seems recently), but now I keep getting 'page not found' errors on it. If anyone knows anything about it, I'd love it if you could share. I'll miss that site if it is gone. _________________ It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.

I think it is gone. It appears the host has stopped supporting it (think it was a university or something similar?). I'll miss it quite a bit too; it was much more thorough for ancient Rohan history etc. than Encyclopedia of Arda and the Wikis.
Unless... it might be mirrored... _________________ An Infinite Source of Pervy Wisdom.

It is indeed gone, taken down for good it seems. Which is quite sad, because it was perhaps the most accurate site on things Middle-earth |

Oh, that's disappointing. It was my main port of call too.

Yeah, I really hate seeing this one gone. You can still get it through the WayBack Machine for as long as it stays there:

Hopefully they will keep it available for a long time. I think it is a real shame its not actively updated anymore. It was the best, in my opinion. _________________ It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.

Somebody wrote in to point out a new address for this gem of a site:
http://www.thainsbook.net
Thanks, Alex!
